El primer celular con software de Google se llamará Dream
El primer celular con Android, el software desarrollado entre Google y otras firmas para facilitar el acceso móvil a la red, se llamará “Dream” y será fabricado por HTC, aseguran hoy varios medios de EE.UU. en Internet.
Según estas versiones, que citan a fuentes cercanas a la producción del teléfono, “Dream” tendrá una gran pantalla táctil similar a la del iPhone de Apple, pero también dispondrá de un teclado completo debajo de la pantalla.
El teléfono medirá 13 centímetros de largo y 8 de ancho y llegará a las tiendas a finales de este año.
Google lanzó la plataforma Android el pasado mes de noviembre en colaboración con un total de 34 empresas unidas en una alianza llamada Open Handset.
Entre ellas figuran Samsung, HTC, LG y Motorola, cuatro de los principales fabricantes de teléfonos móviles del sector, y varias grandes operadoras como el grupo español Telefónica.
Básicamente, este software permitirá a los usuarios acceder a la red y a los servicios de Google -su buscador, Google Maps, el correo electrónico Gmail, entre otros- desde cualquier teléfono móvil con conexión a Internet y sin necesidad de estar frente al ordenador.
Se trata de un mercado inmenso, pues se calcula que ya hay unos 3.000 millones de teléfonos móviles en el mundo, pero sólo 1.200 millones de conexiones a la red.
