Ok, está bien que si yo le digo a mis amigos que no entienden ni jota de Internet, blogs, web2.0 y todo esa parafernalia digital que Jaqueline Dutrá me invitó a asistir un evento, probablemente quede como un winner, pero que la vedette brasileña me haya invitado a un evento llamado Pro Racer (algo así como unas picadas tipo Rápido y Furioso) es una muestra más que Facebook es la maximización de la estupidez humana. Me hice una cuenta hace un par de meses por mi incorregible curiosidad de conocer y conocer, pero no tardé mucho en comprender que para mí, Facebook es tan divertido como leer un libro de Marley hablando de sus viajes por el mundo o ver un tramo de Bailando por un Sueño que no sea el culo de Evangelina Anderson, aparato al que dicho sea de paso se debería catalogar como prohibido para personas cardíacas o de baba fácil (este grupo no está en Facebook pero si estuviera yo sería socio fundador).

No quiero aburrir/me con un monólogo de por qué no me gusta esta red social que algunos tildan, sin errarle mucho, como el Gran Hermano de la red. Lo sintetizo comunicando a los distintos “amigos” que no voy a llenar el cuestionario sobre qué película te identifica, tampoco la de qué tan colgado sos, menos, aunque el rostro de la remitente se vea tentador, la del título Thinking of You; me quedaré mudo también para la de sexo o amor, para la de sos grasa (a chorros querida) y obviaré la de test de inteligencia, ya que viniendo de Facebook el resultado es obvio. Esas y las otras 143 solicitudes quedarán sin responder. En Facebook me limitaré a estar, casi como un “no te metas” digital. Miro, leo, y nunca actúo. No me uniré al grupo “adictos a Mc Donald” y no estaré ahí cuando Cielo Latini, que está en Facebook obvio, cree el grupo “cómo escribir una pedorrada de libro y vivir para contar la plata”.

Y conste que no es la primera vez que me quejo contra un “poderoso” de Internet, ya lo hice una vez en mi (ahora abandonadito) blog Humortales contra Google.

“Incluso un sueño corto tiene efectos positivos”, ésta es la conclusión de un proyecto de investigación del Instituto para Sicología Experimental de la Universidad Heinrich Heine de Düsseldorf. Los muchos que conocen los maravillosos efectos de una corta siesta pueden pensar, con razón, que para llegar a esa conclusión no era necesario investigar tanto. “El aspecto innovador es el efecto positivo en la memoria”, explica Olaf Lahl, director del proyecto. “Que una siesta corta tiene efectos positivos en la concentración, es de conocimiento general, pero que la memorización se fortalece con seis minutos de sueño es novedoso”, recalca.

De la investigación participaron 18 universitarios, que recibieron una lista de 30 adjetivos que tuvo que ser memorizada, a lo largo de dos minutos. En tres sesiones, cada voluntario recibió una lista diferente, siempre adjetivos pues éstos son más difíciles de relacionar entre sí que los sustantivo. Después de memorizarlos, en dos de las tres sesiones les dijeron “ahora puede dormir, si quiere”. En la primera durmieron todo lo que quisieron, y en la segunda los despertaron a los seis minutos. a los 60 minutos tuvieron que reproducir su lista de 20 adjetivos. La media de palabras reproducidas fue de 6,86 en los que se quedaron despiertos, 8,07 en los que durmieron seis minutos. Y 9,21 palabras supieron los que durmieron cuanto quisieron.
